Game 11 – WCAC Semifinal vs St. John’s (2016)

This is the 93rd Game of the Modern Era.  With the 45-35 win last week, the Eagles now hold a 46-41-5 record over the Cadets in the Oldest Catholic High School Football Rivalry in the nation. Gonzaga is the #2 seed and St. John’s is the #3 seed in the WCAC playoffs.  The last time the Eagles faced the Cadets in the WCAC Semifinals on Buchanan Field was a 3-0 victory in 2002.  2016 is the first time since 2012 that the WCAC Semifinal games are being played at the higher seed’s venue. The other 2016 Semifinal between #1 seeded DeMatha and #4 seeded Good Counsel will played on Friday, November 11 at 7pm.

Our victory allows us to host the WCAC semifinal game on Buchanan field.  Kickoff will be 2:30 pmwhich means we will be playing a day/night game.  The lights were installed this past weekend and Saturday’s game will mark a 1st in Gonzaga’s history.

Game tickets are $10.00 and people are encouraged to use metro due to the large crowd anticipated for Saturday. Please bring as many Gonzaga supporters as possible to create a real home field advantage!
